Freeman Building

Add to plan Remove from plan

(c. 1889/2001)
On the verge of collapse, this 1889 brick and stone building was restored in 2001. The storefront double doors and transom windows are original features. A new hand-painted tin ceiling, pressed from period molds, accents the interior. Bone fragments discovered under the rotting wood floors, hinted its early use as a meat market.
