The Doss Heritage and Culture Center opened in 2006 thanks to a culmination of hard work and dedication of a group of community volunteers called Civic Development, Inc., and the dedication of our entire community.
The DHCC is a dream realized for the Parker County Community. Previously, the history and culture of Parker County was housed in one room inside the Weatherford Public Library. Now, the 23,000 square foot Doss Heritage and Culture Center is available for the world to enjoy the rich history and culture of the area for free! The Mission of the Doss Heritage and Culture Center is to collect, preserve, and interpret the history of Parker County through cultural and educational events that raise awareness and pride in our western heritage.
